I'm looking for some tips on storing luggage when it's not in use. We have a few suitcases and duffel bags that take up a ton of space in our spare room, and they're pretty much just collecting dust for most of the year.I've considered vacuum sealing some of the softer bags to condense them down, but I'm worried about possibly damaging them, especially the more expensive suitcases.Has anyone had good or bad experiences with vacuum sealing luggage? Alternatively, I've seen people suggest storing them in attics or basements, but I worry about moisture and temperature changes affecting the materials. Any recommendations for protecting them in those environments?

Beyond just the physical space, what's the best way to keep them clean and free of pests while they're in storage? Mothballs? Some kind of spray? I’m open to all suggestions, even if they seem obvious, as long as they help keep my luggage in good shape and out of the way!
