So, I was browsing some online marketplaces and got to wondering about the distinction between "vintage" and "antique" toys.Is it just age, or are there other factors considered? I always figured antique meant something really, really old, while vintage was just...older.

I think a common understanding is that "antique" generally refers to items that are at least 100 years old. But where does "vintage" fall? Is it anything older than, say, 20 years? What about toys that are reproductions or recreations of older designs? Would a recent release of a classic toy from the 50s be considered vintage simply as it’s a replica of something old, or just a modern toy with a retro aesthetic?

Interested to hear what others think! Does condition play a role? Does the rarity of the item factor in? What's your rule of thumb?
