Thinking about trying to turn my vintage toy restoration hobby into a real career, and I'm realizing my portfolio is probably the most important piece. Beyond just "before and after" shots, what kind of documentation really impresses potential clients or employers? I'm considering including things like detailed parts lists, specific paint matching processes I used, and maybe even short videos demonstrating repair techniques.

Has anyone else built a restoration portfolio, whether toys or something else? Did you focus on a specific niche (like dolls, tin toys, etc.), or did you try to showcase a wide range of skills? I'm also wondering about the best platform to use. A dedicated website seems ideal, but maybe Instagram or even just a well-organized Google Drive folder would be sufficient to start. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
