Anyone else remember the sheer joy (and occasional frustration) of using a Palm Pilot or a Handspring Visor back in the day? It's wild to think how dramatically the mobile computing experience has changed since then. We've gone from meticulously syncing with our desktops and being amazed by simple apps like datebooks and to-do lists, to carrying around pocket computers that can do almost anything.

One thing that strikes me is how much slower we were forced to be. The stylus-based input, while surprisingly accurate for its time, definitely required patience. What are your biggest takeaways from the PDA era, compared to our smartphone present?
