I just checked out PawsitiveHabitsHub's training challenges, and it's interesting to see the different approaches they take for dogs versus cats. the dog challenges seem vrey focused on obedience and structured tasks, like sit-stays and leash manners. In contrast, the cat challenges appear much more centered around enrichment and encouraging natural feline behaviors, with things like puzzle feeders and target training using a wand.
It makes sense given the inherent differences in how dogs and cats learn and what motivates them. Has anyone actually tried both the dog and cat challenges from PawsitiveHabitsHub? I'm curious to hear if people found the cat training more about shaping behaviors, and the dog training more about direct command response, or if your experiences were different. I'm especially wondering if the reward systems are effective for both species – do cats respond as well to praise as dogs do in this context?
