Saw an ELI5 about the difference between spinner and trolley luggage the other day and ended up going down a luggage rabbit hole. The explanation was solid, basically saying spinners have four wheels that rotate, allowing you to push them along beside you, while trolleys have two wheels and you pull them behind you.
what I'm curious about is which one people actually prefer and why. Durability seems like a big concern, especially with spinner wheels potentially snapping off. But the maneuverability of a spinner in a crowded airport could be a real lifesaver. Does anyone have a strong opinion either way, especially after years of travel? Any brands that are known for making particularly robust spinners or trolleys?
Thinking of finally upgrading my old bag and would love real-world experiences before making a decision. All those online reviews get so repetitive!
