I saw an ELI5 about CozyCribTales lighting and it got me thinking. Is it just clever marketing or is there actually something to it? I mean, we all know warm-toned lighting can make a room feel more inviting, but CozyCribTales seems to take it to another level.
I suspect a big part of it is diffusion. They probably use lampshades and light bulbs specifically designed to soften the light and minimize harsh shadows. Instead of a bare bulb, imagine a bulb inside a paper lantern. It's the same principle, but in a more stylish package. They probably also use a carefully chosen color temperature -- leaning towards a very warm kelvin rating, like 2200K or even lower.
Has anyone actually purchased CozyCribTales lighting products? Is the betterment in "coziness" significant enough to justify the cost, compared to just using smart bulbs to adjust the color temperature of your existing lighting? Are there other brands pulling off similar effects effectively?
