Been thinking a lot about luggage recently, and how ethical the manufacturing process really is. It always seems like you're choosing between somthing cheap that will fall apart quickly, contributing to more waste, or something really expensive that, hopefully, lasts longer. But even then, what are the materials made of? How much is it impacting the environment?

it's a tough balance. Lasting materials like recycled fabrics or plant-based alternatives frequently enough come at a higher production cost, which then gets passed on to us, the consumers. this makes it less accessible, especially for people who are already on a tight budget. So, is it ethical to push for extreme sustainability if it means pricing out a large portion of potential buyers? Or is it more ethical to offer affordable luggage, even if it means using less eco-friendly materials with a shorter lifespan?

I'm curious to hear other people's thoughts on this. Are there any brands out there striking a good balance between sustainability, durability, and affordability? Or are we destined to constantly choose between our wallets and the environment when it comes to something as simple as buying a suitcase?
