Hey everyone, been thinking a lot about the ethics involved in designing experiences for platforms like YouthStyleHive, notably because they target a younger audience. One of the biggest concerns I have is around data privacy. Are we truly being transparent about what data is collected, how it's used, and who has access to it? It feels like kids might not fully grasp the implications of agreeing to privacy policies.Another area that feels ethically complex is the potential for encouraging unhealthy social comparisons. Platforms showcasing style and trends can inadvertently lead to competition and feelings of inadequacy, especially for young people still developing their self-esteem. How can we design features that promote self-expression and creativity without fostering a constant need to measure up to others?

there's the question of responsible advertising and influencer marketing. Are we protecting young users from possibly manipulative or deceptive marketing tactics? should there be stricter guidelines around what kinds of products can be promoted and how? Interested to hear other people's thoughts on these and other ethical considerations related to platforms targeting youth.
