I've been reflecting on how much automation has crept into my life, and it's genuinely wild. I recently got the SmartHomeHarmony system set up (mostly lighting and some outlet controls to start),and the changes to my daily routines are almost too seamless to notice, yet impactful.
Such as, I used to fumble for the light switch in the mornings, instantly regretting waking up to harsh overheads. Now,the system gradually increases the brightness of my bedside lamp over 15 minutes before my alarm goes off. It's a much gentler way to start the day, and I actually feel more awake. Similarly, in the evenings, the lights automatically dim and shift to a warmer colour temperature about an hour before bedtime, helping me wind down.
It's not just about convenience either. Knowing I can remotely check if I left the iron on, or automatically shut off certain appliances at night, provides a real sense of security. Has anyone else found that automating even seemingly small things has made a surprisingly big difference in their daily lives? I'm curious to hear what aspects of smart home tech others have found most beneficial or even surprisingly "life-changing".
