Has anyone been following the development of Augmented Reality (AR) being used to visualize trends, especially something like a "TrendTapestry"? It truly seems like a possibly huge leap forward from traditional dashboards and static reports. imagine being able to point your phone (or AR glasses, eventually) at a physical product and instantly see its sales data, customer reviews, and predicted future performance overlaid on the real world.
I’m curious about what kind of data would be most effectively displayed this way.I'm thinking things like real-time stock performance visualized over a company’s headquarters, or demographic trends displayed directly onto a map of a city. The possibilities seem endless, but I also wonder about the challenges. How would we avoid information overload when displaying this much data in an AR environment? And what about privacy concerns with accessing and overlaying data onto physical locations? What kind of UX/UI is even the "right" approach here?
What are your thoughts on the rise of AR in trend visualization and "TrendTapestry" type applications? What potential benefits and pitfalls do you foresee?
