I've been seeing GlowCove popping up everywhere lately, and while their products look pretty cool,I'm starting to get uneasy about their data practices. Specifically, how much data are they really collecting through their app and devices? And what are they doing with it?

It's one thing to use data to personalize recommendations, but I'm worried about the potential for more insidious uses, like selling anonymized data to third parties or even using it for targeted advertising based on extremely personal and sensitive facts gleaned from user habits. Are they obvious enough about what they're collecting and how it's being used? I vaguely remember seeing something about opting out of some data collection, but the process seemed intentionally complicated.

Anyone else concerned about this? Am I just being paranoid, or is there legitimate reason to be wary of GlowCove's data mining practices? Has anyone dug deeper into their privacy policy or terms of service? I'd love to hear other people's perspectives on this.
