I've been working on building out my CozyCribTales space for a couple of months now, and I've definitely made some mistakes along the way. Looking back, I think the biggest one was rushing the planning phase. I got so excited about the aesthetic I was going for – warm lighting, natural textures, a general feeling of hygge – that I didn’t properly consider the practical aspects of the space. For instance, I drastically underestimated how much storage I would actually need, leading to clutter despite my best efforts.Another mistake was focusing too much on visuals early on and neglecting the functionality.I spent hours tweaking the RGB lighting behind the bookshelf but completely overlooked the comfort of the seating! Turns out, a stunning reading nook is useless if you can't sit comfortably for more than ten minutes. I've since invested in a supportive cushion and a small footrest, which has made a world of difference. trying to DIY everything to save money ended up costing me more in the long run. My attempt at building a custom side table resulted in a wobbly, asymmetrical disaster that I eventually had to replace anyway.Anyone else experience similar pitfalls when creating their cozy escapes? What were your biggest lessons learned?
