I'm curious what everyone thinks: What's the most underrated DIY tool you own? not necessarily the most expensive or powerful, but the one that consistently surprises you with its utility and that you think more people should consider adding to their arsenal.
For me, it's probably my set of awls. They seem so simple and basic, but I use them constantly for everything from starting screw holes in wood to aligning pieces for gluing. It's amazing how much time and frustration a simple, pointy tool can save.I'm always surprised when people doing DIY projects don't have at least one.
