I've been experimenting with free online tools to create visuals for my CozyCribTales, and the results are pretty remarkable. For those unfamiliar, CozyCribTales are basically short, comforting bedtime stories I create for my niece and nephew, and I wont to make them visually appealing too.
I started by using canva's free tier for creating character illustrations. There are tons of templates and elements you can customize, even without paying for the premium version. Then, I found a free AI image upscaler called "Let's Enhance" that really helped improve the resolution of some of my hand-drawn backgrounds. to put it all together, I've been playing with Kapwing's free video editor to add simple animations and text overlays.
it's amazing how much you can do without spending any money. Has anyone else found some surprisingly useful free tools for creating visuals for their creative projects? I'm always looking for new resources! What are your favorite free alternatives to expensive software like Photoshop or Premiere Pro? I'm notably interested in tools that are user-friendly for beginners.
