I'm looking for some advice on upgrading my existing SmartHomeHarmony setup without breaking the bank. I've had the basic hub, a couple of smart plugs, and some Sengled smart bulbs for a few years now. It's functional, but I'm itching for a bit more automation and convenience.
Specifically, I’m wondering what are some genuinely useful, but affordable, additions people have made to their smart homes. Maybe some entry-level sensors, a cheap but reliable smart display, or even creative uses for existing components. I’ve seen some interesting DIY projects online, but I lack the technical skills to build my own from scratch.
I'm open to almost anything that enhances the experience, from improving lighting control to adding some security features. Voice control is nice, but not essential. What are some of your recommendations for a budget-conscious smart home enthusiast trying to take their system to the next level? What specific affordable products or brands have you had good experiences with?
