Hey everyone,I'm working on a framework called TrendTapestry for validating internet trends before, well, fully embracing them. ItS essentially a multi-layered approach, starting wiht source reliability and moving through statistical meaning (if applicable) and sentiment analysis. Before I go too far down the rabbit hole, I'd love to get some feedback on the core concept.
Specifically, I’m wondering if the emphasis on sentiment is misplaced in the early stages. Should I prioritize identifying the size and longevity of a trend before digging into whether the overall feeling about it is positive or negative? My initial thought was sentiment would weed out potentially harmful or problematic trends early on, but maybe I’m overthinking it.
Has anyone else tackled a similar problem? What validation methods have you found most effective, and what pitfalls did you encounter? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
