Hey everyone, I'm currently wrestling with designing a menu structure for a project adn I've hit a bit of a wall. It's a fairly complex application with several main functions and a ton of sub-options and settings. I'm trying to avoid having users click through endless layers of menus just to find what they need.
Has anyone got some go-to tips or resources they find helpful when planning out a menu system? Are there particular navigation patterns you swear by? I'm open to anything from high-level organizational strategies to specific UI/UX best practices. Things like thinking about using card sorting to organize the functions or implementing a robust search function within the menu are things I'm pondering. Any advice or examples of menus that you think are particularly well-designed would be really appreciated!
