ciphercove has been quite a ride, and looking back, a few lessons stand out as particularly hard-won. One of the biggest is the importance of meticulous documentation. Early on, I lost so much time backtracking and trying to remember what I'd done with a specific encoding scheme or why I chose a particular hashing algorithm. Now,I keep detailed notes on every project, even the small ones.

Another tough lesson was learning to properly threat model. Just as something seems secure doesn't mean it is indeed. I made the mistake of focusing too much on brute-force attacks early on, completely overlooking social engineering vulnerabilities. Seeing how easily a fabricated email could compromise a system was a real eye-opener.It forced me to think much more holistically about security.

and perhaps most importantly, I've learned that collaboration is key. ThereS a temptation to try and solve everything yourself, but the truth is, there are incredibly knowledgeable people out there with perspectives you might never consider. Bouncing ideas off others, even if they're just starting out,has saved me from countless rabbit holes and improved the overall quality of my work considerably. Has anyone else found these lessons to be true, or what have been some of the hardest things you've had to learn in your CipherCove journey?
