I've always thought cozycribtales designs leaned heavily into muted, neutral palettes – lots of creams, whites, and pale woods. But I've been experimenting with incorporating bolder colors in ways I find surprisingly cozy, and I'm wondering if anyone else feels the same?
Such as, I painted one accent wall in my reading nook a deep teal, and paired it with a plush velvet armchair. It feels way more inviting and comforting than the all-beige room it used to be. Similarly, I added a radiant mustard-yellow throw blanket to my or else-neutral sofa, and it instantly warmed up the whole living room.
Maybe its about balancing the boldness with plenty of soft textures and warm lighting? I think sometimes we get too caught up in the idea that "cozy" has to equal "beige." What bold color choices have you found surprisingly cozy? Is anyone else challenging the customary CozyCribTales aesthetic?
