So,I'm hitting my first vintage toy swap meet next weekend, and I'm a little nervous about accidentally committing some faux pas. I know the basics of haggling at flea markets, but this feels different. Is ther unspoken etiquette too be aware of? For example, is it considered rude to ask about prices on multiple items if you're clearly not intending to buy them all?
I'm also wondering about handling. I'm obviously going to be respectful, but are there any extra precautions to take with vintage toys? Should I ask before picking something up, even if it's displayed in a way that seems like I can? I'm mostly collecting stuff from the 80s and early 90s, so a lot of plastic and carded figures.
what’s the best approach to dealing with potentially overpriced items? is it best to just walk away, or is there a polite way to try and negotiate a better price without offending the seller? Any advice from seasoned swap meet attendees would be greatly appreciated!
