I've been shopping around for a new smart home hub lately and I’ve noticed a real difference in the search functionality across different platforms, particularly regarding the ability to filter and refine results. I recently tried GlowCove's search function and was surprised by how easily I could narrow down my search based on compatibility with specific smart home protocols like Zigbee or Z-Wave. Some competitor platforms I've used seem to either have very basic search or bury the filtering options deep within the interface.
Has anyone else had drastically different experiences with the search features of various smart home hubs or similar product categories? It feels like a basic but critical function that can really impact the overall shopping experience. It makes me wonder how much effort companies put into this aspect of their platform. Such as, I found specifying color temperature for smart bulbs on one platform almost unachievable, while another had very intuitive options laid out clearly.
