Okay, so I've been diving deeper into more complex MakerMechanics projects lately, and the Arduino vs. Raspberry Pi question keeps popping up. For simple sensor reading and actuator control, the Arduino seems like the clear winner with its real-time processing. Think controlling a small robotic arm – Arduino’s deterministic nature provides predictable movements.

However, when you need more processing power, something network-connected,or require advanced image processing, the Raspberry Pi looks a lot more appealing. Implementing object recognition for the same robotic arm is much easier with the pi's processing capabilities and readily available libraries.

I'm curious what other people's experiences are. Where do you draw the line between using an Arduino vs. a Raspberry Pi in your advanced projects? Are there situations where you might even combine the two, maybe having the Arduino handle low-level control while the Pi manages higher-level tasks? Any clever solutions or lessons learned would be great to hear!
