I've been thinking about this idea that all our fancy gadgets designed to make life easier might actually be making us less capable and maybe even, dare I say, lazier. Like, sure, my electric lawnmower makes yard work faster, but am I actually getting any exercise? And does relying on GPS all the time mean my sense of direction is slowly deteriorating?
It's a bit of a contrarian view, I know. We're constantly told tech is progress and efficiency. But I wonder if we're sacrificing something along the way. Are we becoming overly reliant on these tools to the point where we're losing basic skills or the motivation to do things ourselves?
What are your thoughts? Anyone else find themselves relying to much on technology for things they could (or maybe should) be doing manually? Maybe there's a sweet spot, but it's something I think about more and more.
