I've been thinking a lot about how the definition of a "gentleman" has evolved, especially over the last century. It used to be heavily tied to social class, wealth, and adherence to rigid etiquette.Think top hats, calling cards, and a certain reserved demeanor.

Now, it truly seems like the emphasis has shifted. While good manners are still appreciated, things like emotional intelligence, treating everyone with respect regardless of their background, and being an advocate for social justice seem much more central to the modern ideal. It’s less about birthright and more about behavior.

What aspects of the "gentleman" archetype do you think have aged well, and which are relics of the past? Are there any new qualities you'd add to the definition for the 21st century? I'm curious to hear other perspectives!
