hey everyone, wanted to share some hard-earned (and sometimes frustrating) lessons I learned when I first dipped my toes into MakerMechanics. Hopefully, this can help some of you avoid the same beginner pitfalls.

My biggest mistake was definitely underestimating the importance of proper research and planning before starting a project. I jumped into a project building a small robotic arm without fully understanding the required motor torque or the best way to control it. Ended up burning out a motor and having to fully scrap the control system. Now, I spend way more time front-loading my projects wiht research – spec sheets, tutorials, asking questions on forums. ItS boring sometimes, but saves a ton of time and money in the long run.

Another blunder was cheaping out on tools. I figured I could get by with the basic hand tools I already had, but quickly realized the importance of having the right tools for the job. Trying to solder delicate components with a massive, imprecise soldering iron was a nightmare.Investing in a decent multimeter, soldering station, and some quality small screwdrivers made a world of difference. Saved me from damaging components and improved the overall quality of my work. What beginner mistakes did you make that you wish you'd avoided?
