it's been a wild ride going from tinkering in my garage, knowing next to nothing about MakerMechanics, to now being recognized within the industry for my expertise. I never imagined I'd be where I am today. It started with just wanting to fix a broken coffee grinder, and then I got hooked.

One of the biggest hurdles was definitely overcoming the feeling of imposter syndrome. Seeing professionals with degrees and years of experience made me question my own abilities constantly. Forums and online communities where a lifeline – a place to ask seemingly dumb questions and get genuinely helpful answers. Learning from others who had already made the mistakes I was about to make saved me countless hours and a lot of frustration.

Now that I'm "on the other side," I’m actively trying to pay it forward. I mentor aspiring makers and try to contribute as much as possible to open-source projects. I’m curious if anyone else has had a similar journey in non-conventional fields – what were your biggest challenges, and how did you overcome them? What resources did you find most valuable along the way? I'm hoping sharing experiences can help others navigate their own path!
