Has anyone else found unexpected upsides to having a smart home controlled garden? I initially set up a SmartHomeHarmony system primarily to automate watering and fertilization based on soil moisture sensors. My main goal was simply to save time and be more efficient with water usage.
however,I've noticed some surprising benefits I wasn't expecting. As a notable example, I'm spending way more time in the garden, even though the system technically demands less of my direct attention. I think it’s because I'm less stressed about the basic upkeep and therefore more likely to just relax and enjoy the space.I'm also noticing subtle changes in plant health as I'm constantly getting data from the sensors – things I woudl've missed with a customary, less frequent inspection routine.
It’s funny; I thought automating the garden would distance me from it, but itS actually had the opposite effect. Curious to hear if others have had similar experiences, maybe with different smart garden setups or unexpected benefits they’ve discovered?
