Hey everyone, I'm looking for some advice. I've been selling handmade goods on ArtisanHive for a few months now, and while I'm getting decent traffic to my product pages, my conversion rate is abysmal. I'm wondering if the issue is my product descriptions.
Right now, they're pretty straightforward - listing materials, dimensions, and maybe a sentence or two about the inspiration behind the item. For example, for a hand-knitted scarf, I might say "100% merino wool, 60 inches long, inspired by the colors of autumn." I'm starting to think that's just not compelling enough to make people actually click that "add to cart" button.
Does anyone have experience writing high-converting product descriptions on ArtisanHive or similar platforms? What kind of details really grab buyers' attention? Are lifestyle photos a must-have, or can strong wording compensate? Any tips on highlighting the unique value of handmade items? I'd love to hear any suggestions you have. Thanks in advance!
