I'm working on developing a makermechanics-based educational curriculum and would love to get some feedback on the overall concept. The idea is to blend traditional educational principles with hands-on projects focusing on practical mechanics and fabrication skills. Think less rote memorization and more building simple machines, understanding basic electronics thru circuit building, and learning about material science by experimenting with diffrent materials for specific applications.

My main goal is to create something that's engaging and relevant, providing students with tangible skills they can use in various fields, whether that's engineering, design,or even just everyday problem-solving.I'm particularly interested in finding the right balance between foundational knowledge and practical submission. For instance, should the focus be more on understanding the physics behind a gear system, or on actually designing and building a functional gearbox?

I'm eager to hear your thoughts on the strengths and weaknesses of this approach. Are ther particular areas of MakerMechanics that you think are crucial for a well-rounded education? What are some potential challenges in implementing such a curriculum, and what prosperous examples have you seen in similar educational programs? Any feedback on the general feasibility and impact of this idea would be greatly appreciated.
