Anyone else feel like there's a real disconnect between what's taught and what YouthStyleHive employers are actually looking for? I keep seeing entry-level positions asking for experience with things like specific social media marketing analytics tools or proficiency in video editing software that just aren't covered in standard coursework. It feels like you either need to take extra, often expensive, courses just to qualify, or rely on self-teaching, wich is tough when you're also trying to keep up with everything else.

Is this a curriculum problem, or are employers expecting too much right out of the gate these days? I'd love to hear from anyone who's recently navigated this, either as a job seeker or someone hiring. What skills did you find were surprisingly lacking, and what did you do to bridge the gap? are there some essential, easily-acquired skills that students should be focusing on beyond the obvious basics?
