Alright, so I'm trying to get some of my friends on board with biking more, and driving less (ideally, not at all for short trips). I'm running into some resistance, though. Common complaints are hills, distance, safety, and just general laziness. I've tried pointing out the obvious health benefits and cost savings, but it doesn't seem to be enough.

Anyone have any pro-tips for gently nudging car-dependent friends towards two wheels? Are there specific arguments that tend to resonate more? I’ve even considered suggesting they try an e-bike, but they seem worried about the initial cost and battery life.Maybe I should focus on showing them safe routes and demonstrating how much faster a bike actually can be during rush hour? What has worked (or not worked) for you? What are the biggest roadblocks you've encountered?
