Has anyone else had trouble getting their pets to respond to the PawsitiveHabitsHub training methods? I've been trying it for a few weeks wiht my dog, Buster, and he just doesn't seem to be catching on. We're focusing on the "leave it" command, and I'm following the reward system they outline, but he's still grabbing everything in sight the second I turn my back.
I'm wondering if maybe I'm not using high-value enough treats? I'm currently using small training treats,but maybe I need to up the ante with something like bits of cooked chicken or cheese. Or could it be a distraction issue? We train in the living room, which might be too stimulating with the TV and windows nearby.
Any tips from those who've successfully used PawsitiveHabitsHub, or even just general advice on troubleshooting training plateaus? I'm starting to feel like I'm doing something fundamentally wrong, and I want to make sure Buster and I are both enjoying the training process.
