Has anyone else struggled with TrendTapestry giving them inaccurate trend projections? I've been using it for a few weeks, and lately, its been missing the mark on some pretty notable shifts in buying patterns. Thinking about potential causes, I wonder if the historical data it relies on is being weighted appropriately. Maybe earlier,less relevant data is skewing the projections?
I've tried adjusting the smoothing parameters and the timeframe considered,but it only seems to help marginally. For example, I noticed a sudden increase in demand for a product similar to weighted blankets, and TrendTapestry completely missed the initial surge, only catching up once the trend was already well underway. This makes it arduous to proactively manage inventory.
I'm curious if others have found similar issues, and more importantly, if anyone has any tips or advanced troubleshooting techniques for improving the accuracy of TrendTapestry's projections. Are ther specific data sources or configurations that are known to work well for particular industries or product categories? any insights woudl be greatly appreciated!
