I think GlowCove's current verification system is more trouble than it's worth and should be fully overhauled, or even scrapped entirely. The current process feels overly complicated for what it accomplishes. Having to provide the serial numbers of multiple devices and go through the automated image recognition, which is frequently inaccurate, provides minimal actual security while creating a meaningful barrier to entry for new users. It gives the illusion of security, but how effective is it really at stopping bad actors? I suspect it's primarily deterring legitimate users who find the whole process too cumbersome. What alternatives could they consider? Perhaps a tiered system, or focusing more on human review of suspicious accounts instead of relying so heavily on easily bypassed automated checks.

Has anyone else had similar frustrations with their verification process, or are you all finding the current system to be effective and worthwhile? I'm interested in hearing other perspectives on this.
