Okay, hear me out: all these fancy suitcases and backpacks with like, a million pockets? They're overrated. I think there's actually a disadvantage to having too many pockets in your luggage.
First off, I always forget what I put where. I end up rummaging through every single pocket looking for my phone charger, which was probably in the main compartment the whole time. It's just inefficient. Secondly, all those pockets add extra weight and bulk.Airlines are already squeezing us for every ounce, and all those layers of fabric and zippers just add to the problem.
