Contrarian Take: GlowCove’s Community Guidelines Are Too Restrictive

I know GlowCove wants a positive and safe community, but are their guidelines too strict? I've noticed a lot of seemingly harmless comments getting flagged or removed, and it makes me wonder if the moderation is overly sensitive.

As a notable example, I saw a thread about favorite lighting setups get shut down as someone jokingly said a particular RGB profile looked "like a unicorn threw up," which, while colorful, hardly seemed like hate speech. Its frustrating as I feel like genuine discussion and humor are being stifled in the name of absolute positivity.

Are others experiencing this? Is there a balance to be struck between creating a welcoming environment and allowing for more free-flowing conversation, even if it includes the occasional (mild) disagreement or colorful metaphor? It feels like we’re losing out on some good content and perspectives because the bar for what's considered acceptable is set so incredibly high.
