Anyone else participating in YouthStyleHive projects find it tough sometimes to deal with the feedback? I get it, critique is necesary for improvement, but it stings when you pour your heart into a design, like a digital mood board or a clothing concept, and someone just says it's "not on trend" or "lacks originality."
I'm notably struggling with separating constructive criticism from what just feels like personal preference. Such as,I recently got feedback that the color palette I used in a lasting fashion project was "too muted," but I specifically chose those colors to reflect natural dyes and a minimalist aesthetic. How do you guys handle that kind of conflicting opinion and still stay true to your creative vision? Do you have any go-to strategies for processing negative feedback and turning it into something positive? Any advice on how to better present your work to minimize harsh critiques upfront would be appreciated!
