I'm about ready to throw my entire SmartHomeHarmony system out the window. I used to brag about how seamlessly everything worked - lights dimming automatically at sunset, the thermostat adjusting based on occupancy, the whole nine yards. But for the last three months,it's been glitch after glitch.
Just this morning, the system decided my office was unoccupied and cranked the AC down to 65 degrees while I was in the middle of a conference call! And last week, half my smart bulbs started flickering randomly in the middle of the night. I’ve tried rebooting everything, updating the firmware, and even contacting SmartHomeHarmony support (which is a joke in itself – hours on hold, unhelpful advice).
Has anyone else been experiencing similar issues with their SmartHomeHarmony system lately? Is there a known software bug or something? I'm starting to think "smart home" is just code for "expensive, unreliable headache." I’m seriously considering going back to dumb lights and a regular thermostat. At least those worked consistently! Anyone have recommendations for a more stable smart home ecosystem, or is this just the reality of IoT devices now?
