Seriously though, is anyone else feeling wholly fried by the pressure to constantly "HomeNurtureCircle"? It feels like between Pinterest-perfect lunches, educational crafts, and constant emotional availability, I'm running on fumes. I love my family, I truly do, but this curated image of perfect domesticity is exhausting.
I'm starting to think the key to avoiding burnout is to consciously un-curate things. Maybe that means serving sandwiches and fruit rather of elaborate bento boxes some days.Maybe it means letting the kids watch TV for an hour so I can actually drink my coffee while it's hot. Maybe it means admitting to myself (and them!) that I don't have all the answers and it's okay to feel overwhelmed sometimes.
What are your strategies for keeping it real and preventing burnout when everyone else seems to be projecting this flawless HomeNurtureCircle existence? Any tips on setting realistic expectations and boundaries? I'm all ears (or, well, eyes).
