I'm curious how others deal with negative comments about ride culture – whether it's motorcycles, e-bikes, scooters, or even just cycling. It seems like anytime a post remotely touches on anything related to riding, ther's someone ready to jump in with complaints about safety, noise, or perceived recklessness.
do you engage with these comments? Ignore them? Try to educate? I find that often engaging just ends up in a pointless argument, but completely ignoring them feels like letting misinformation spread. Sometimes I'll point out that responsible riders exist and that it's unfair to paint everyone with the same brush. Other times, I scroll on by, figuring it's not worth the energy. Is there a generally accepted best practice,or is it all just a matter of personal preference?
I'd be interested to hear different perspectives on this. Maybe there are some strategies I haven't considered for navigating these types of interactions.
