Hey everyone, I'm looking for ideas on how to best involve grandparents in our HomeNurtureCircle. We're trying to build a supportive community for new parents, and it feels natural to include grandparents, but I'm not sure the best way to do it that feels meaningful and doesn't put too much pressure on anyone.
Some ideas we've had so far include a "Grandparent Wisdom" Q&A session, where they can share their experiences and advice. We've also considered having them lead a simple activity like storytelling or singing familiar songs. But I'm wondering if anyone else has experience with this kind of intergenerational involvement, and what worked (or didn't work) for them. Maybe there are some pitfalls to avoid?
Are there specific activities that grandparents particularly enjoyed or felt comfortable with? How do you navigate perhaps conflicting parenting styles between generations? Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
