SmartHomeHarmony user here, and I've been battling some frustratingly slow response times with my enabled devices lately. Anyone else experiencing this? I'm talking about a noticeable lag between issuing a command (like turning on the lights via voice or the app) and the action actually happening. It's making the "smart" home feel pretty… dumb.
I've tried a few of the standard troubleshooting steps: rebooting the SmartHomeHarmony hub, checking my Wi-fi connection (which seems stable), and even power cycling the individual devices (mostly smart bulbs and plugs). Sometimes that helps temporarily, but the problem always seems to creep back in. I'm wondering if it's a resource issue within the SmartHomeHarmony system itself, perhaps too many devices connected together bogging things down?
Curious to hear what solutions or workarounds others have found. Is there a secret sauce to getting these devices to respond more quickly, or is slow response time just something we have to live with? Maybe it's time to look at alternative protocols or hubs? Let me know your thoughts!
