Anyone else having a headache getting SmartHomeHarmony to play nice with other apps? I'm specifically thinking about routines. Linking it to voice assistants mostly works, but triggering actions from, say, a weather app based on specific conditions? That's been a nightmare.I've tried IFTTT,but the latency is often unacceptable.I get that it's a cloud-to-cloud integration, but waiting 5-10 minutes for my lights to change based on sunset time kind of defeats the purpose. I've also experimented with setting up webhooks, but the SmartHomeHarmony API documentation isn't exactly user-kind for more complex scenarios, especially when trying to integrate data from less common sources.
Is there some secret sauce I'm missing? Or are we all just resigned to accepting that "seamless integration" is more of a marketing buzzword than reality when it comes to smart home ecosystems? Looking for any tips, tricks, or even commiseration! Maybe we can figure out some workarounds together.
