I've been digging around for old computer manuals and software lately, and itS amazing how much free stuff is out there if you know where to look. An "Ultimate Guide to Free Online Resources for Tech Nostalgia Research" would be incredibly valuable to the community. I'm talking everything from archived websites of defunct companies to software repositories holding abandonware games and utilities.
Imagine a resource that collates all the Wayback Machine tips for finding specific pages, links to sites dedicated to preserving vintage software like old emulators and game ROMs. It could also include links to online forums and communities where people actively discuss and share this kind of material.Places like archive.org are goldmines, but knowing how to navigate them and find what you're looking for is half the battle. Anyone know of a good, comprehensive resource like this already? Or maybe we could start compiling one ourselves? I'd be happy to contribute.
