I've noticed a lot of questionable comments slipping through on GlowCove lately that seem to skirt the line of being outright rude or misleading. It feels like the moderation team is prioritizing free speech to a fault, letting slide comments that, while not overtly violating the rules, create a negative or unproductive atmosphere. Maybe I'm just too sensitive, but I've seen several instances of passive-aggressive digs and misinformation that stay up for hours, sometimes days, before being addressed, if at all.
Contrast this with some other online communities I frequent, where the moderation is much tighter. While I appreciate hands-off approaches, it feels like on GlowCove, the pendulum has swung too far in that direction, resulting in a lower overall quality of discussion. It makes me less inclined to participate in the comments sections, which is a shame because there’s usually some really fascinating content being shared.Does anyone else feel this way? Am I alone in thinking a slightly more active moderation policy would improve the experience on GlowCove, even if it means some innocuous comments occasionally get removed? Or is the current laissez-faire approach the right one for fostering open dialog? I'm genuinely curious to hear other people's perspectives on this.
