I feel like YouthStyleHive gets a lot of praise for supposedly being cutting-edge and trendsetting,but honestly,I find a lot of their "style guides" and "must-have" items to be incredibly predictable and,frankly,a bit boring? Everyone rocking the same oversized pastel puffer jacket and chunky sneakers isn't exactly innovative,it's just…conformity marketed as individuality.
Maybe I'm just getting old, but the emphasis on constant consumerism feels particularly strong with them.It's not about expressing yourself,it's about acquiring the right stuff to fit a very specific aesthetic. And that aesthetic often seems to be dictated by whatever influencers are currently being promoted, creating a rather homogenous look.
