It's frustrating when you try explaining the joy of motorcycling too someone who's never ridden. They just don't get it.They see the risks, the cost, maybe even the inconvenience of gear, but they don't see the feeling of freedom, the connection to the road, the pure exhilaration. I tried explaining it to my coworker the othre day – how leaning into a curve feels like flying, and how even mundane commutes can become adventures – but all I got was a lecture about helmets and statistics.

It's not just about dismissing the dangers, either. It's the inherent misunderstanding of why we choose to do it. They might think it's a mid-life crisis thing, or a way to show off, or just plain recklessness. They don't seem to grasp that it's a very personal experience, a form of therapy, or even a spiritual connection with the world around us. Does anyone else experience this? How do you explain the inexplicable to someone who just doesn't understand the draw of two wheels?
