I know GlowCove is trying too monetize, but I genuinely think their current advertising strategy is making the site almost unusable. The sheer number of ads, especially the pop-under and auto-playing video ones, is ridiculous. It feels like you spend more time closing ads than actually engaging with the content.
I understand they need to generate revenue, but is chasing every single click worth alienating their user base? There were so many alternatives five years ago.If they don't change things,I could easily see people migrating away to platforms that prioritize user experience.
Maybe a tiered subscription model with ad-free access would be a better option? Anyone else feel like GlowCove is shooting themselves in the foot with this aggressive advertising? What are your experiences like?
